Day Services
Arc Industries, in
Flemington, provides training and employment opportunities for
approximately 55 individuals. Specific services include 6 distinct
components; paid work and work skills training (including enclaves and
mobile work crews in the community), adjunct therapies such as art,
music and horticulture therapy, Activities of Daily Living, an
educational curriculum that focuses on functional reading and math
skills, computer literacy, etc., a formal community volunteer corps and
self-advocacy.
All programming is developed in a person-centered manner and Essential
Lifestyle Planning is utilized to provide services uniquely tailored to
the talents and needs of the individual.
Point Breeze, in Frenchtown, provides similar services for
approximately 30 individuals in a slower paced, more relaxed setting
geared towards the specific needs of individuals with autism and other
sensory challenges. Critical in the development and implementation of
such services is our ongoing collaboration with a team of consultants in
the disciplines of behavior management, communication and sensory-motor
issues. Utilizing this expertise, we are able to implement a holistic
approach in working with individuals who learn differently.
Employment Solutions, located in Flemington, assists individuals in
achieving their employment goals and supports each person to become a
contributing member of their community. Working collaboratively with the
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and other agencies, the program
provides the following services; Job Development, Intensive 1:1 Job
Coaching and long-term Follow-Along Support. Additionally, the program
works cooperatively with local school districts to provide
school-to-work transition services that facilitate a seamless transition
to adult life.
Employment Solutions has received consistent and ongoing accreditation
from CARF
(Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) since
November 2000.
