Donations

The Arc of Hunterdon Foundation was organized in 2002 solely to raise, hold, manage, invest and distribute proceeds of donations and other funds to benefit people with disabilities served by The Arc of Hunterdon County.

Your contributions enable The Foundation to financially support recreational activities for individuals served by The Arc of Hunterdon County.  Many of these individuals would be deprived of an opportunity to formulate a daily schedule or select a desired social activity without the services provided by The Arc.  Because of contributions from families, local businesses, corporations and service clubs, The Arc is empowered to provide choices to individuals with developmental disabilities.  These choices may revolve around an activity as simple as going out for dinner or seeing a movie with a friend.

How to make your gift

Cash
Gifts of cash are the easiest and most direct way to give to The Arc of Hunterdon and gifts are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Many people participate with gifts of cash. These benefactors enjoy seeing the immediate results of their generosity in Arc programs.

There are a number of ways to make your cash gift.

• Send a check.  Make sure your check is payable to The Arc of Hunterdon Foundation.  Send to The Arc of Hunterdon Foundation, 1322 State Route 31, Suite 5, Annandale, New Jersey 08801

• Call The Arc Foundation Office at 908.730.7827, ext 250, our staff will be pleased to answer your questions and assist you in anyway possible.

Stocks, Bonds, or Mutual Funds
You do not have to give cash to make a gift to The Arc.  A gift of cash or a gift in stocks both generate the same charitable contribution. But if you use stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to make a gift to The Arc, you will receive additional tax benefits.  The IRS allows you to make your transfer to The Arc without recognizing capital gain on the appreciation.  Thus, leveraging a larger donation than if you used cash and receive a larger tax-deduction by “buying low and giving high.”
