MONTHLY PROGRAMS

 

Tuesday’s:   Tennis

Our tennis program begins on September 20 and will continue until the end of May.  Tennis is held at the Court Side Racquet Center on Route 31 in Clinton Township.  Bruce again returns as our tennis coach (YEA!!!).  Newcomers are always welcome.  If you need a racquet, please let us know when you sign up.  You need to sign up only once for the year, however, please make a commitment to attend each week. Link provides transportation to The Arc office from The Arc work centers and from CEA.  Recreation staff then transports to the tennis center.  Please call Link to make arrangements at 800-842-0531.  Recreation staff provides transportation from tennis to our program that follows.  If you are not attending that program, you must be picked up at the tennis club.

Cost:   $7.00 charge each week for Arc members; $17.00 for non-members.  Complete the confirmation sheet and mail it along with your payment to The Arc office. 

Time:  5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Place:            Court Side Racquet Center

Thursday’s: Bowling

Bowling begins on September 22 and continues until the end of May.  Sign ups taken this month are good for the entire year.  Bowling takes place at West Hunterdon Lanes.  Games are $2.50 each with shoe rental included.  Bring money for two games - $5.00.  Please do not send bowling money to the office.  Bring it to bowling each week. It is helpful if the correct amount is placed in a sealed envelope with your name on it. 

Link provides transportation to bowling from The Arc work centers and from CEA.  Please make these arrangements with Link by calling 800-842-0531.

Following bowling, recreation staff will transport to square dancing, which takes place at The Concourse at Beaver Brook.  If you are not attending square dancing please make arrangements to be picked up at the either the bowling lanes at 6:00 PM or The Concourse at Beaver Brook at about 6:30 PM.

Cost:   $4.00 program charge each week for Arc members; $14.00 for non-members.  Complete the confirmation sheet and mail it along with your payment to The Arc office. 

            $2.50 per game – Bring to program ($5.00 for 2 games)

Time:  4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Thursday’s: Square Dancing

Square dancing comes back full swing this month on September 22.  Our club is called “The Hunterdon Stars” and we practice every Thursday at The Concourse at Beaver Brook.  We welcome all newcomers; just call the office to tell us you’re coming.  If you like to travel, then definitely check out this program.  Our square dancers travel one to two times per year to conventions all over the US.  In 2012 we will be traveling to Spokane, Washington.  All travel is optional.  It is important to attend practice each week, so please consider this when you join. Pack a bag dinner if you are coming from bowling,

Cost:   $6.00 program charge each week for Arc members; non-members pay $16.00. Complete the confirmation sheet and mail it along with your payment to The Arc office. 

            $.50 for refreshments – Bring to program each week

Time:  7:15 P.M. to 8:45 P.M.

Place:  The Concourse at Beaver Brook – Community Room
