Sandy Hook Beach and Evening Concert |
Today we will travel to Sandy Hook to enjoy some time on the beach and then enjoy the concert later in the evening. |
The band playing tonight is the classic rock band, the Cherubs. On our way home we will stop for ice cream. |
Wear a bathing suit, bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Bring a towel, lots of sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for the sun. We will be changing out of our bathing suits into clothes for the concert, so bring a change of clothes along with a jacket or sweatshirt in case it gets chilly when the sun goes down. |

Rafting |
Enjoy a day of rafting on the Delaware. This will be a joint venture with friends for the Arc of Monmouth County, so don’t miss out on this fun day. You will be provided with a life vest that you must wear at all times on the river. It is not necessary that you know how to swim. All participants will be given liability and consent forms prior to this program to be signed by the participant's legal guardian. These must be returned the day of the program. |

The recreation staff and I hope that you are pleased with the 2007 summer calendar. |
For your comfort and safety, please review the following information: |
Ø Always carry suntan lotion and a water bottle |
Ø Let us know if you are allergic to bees (or anything else) |
Ø Wear sunglasses or a visor to protect your eyes |
Ø Do not wear flip-flops or thongs. Sneakers are best. |
Ø Bring your own insect repellent if needed |
Ø Wear layers of light clothing to accommodate temperature changes (air conditioning and heat) |
Review the program information carefully. Be sure, for your own benefit, that the activity is appropriate for YOU and be sure to wear and bring whatever is suggested. |
