Seminar 1: Social Skills: Foster Positive Peer Interactions, Play Skills, & Problem-Solving – 

This seminar will assist parents to better understand factors impacting their child’s
weaknesses in social skills and problem-solving.  Practical strategies will be discussed,
along with user-friendly handouts, for parents (and teachers/professionals) to facilitate
skill development, promote positive peer interactions, play skills, and problem solving
in everyday social situations.

Seminar 2: Effective Parenting: Change Your Behavior - Change Your Child
(Positive Behavioral Approaches to address compliance and behavior)

This seminar will provide parents with positive behavioral approaches to address important
parent-child interaction issues helping them gain more compliance from their children.
Parents will learn how to reinforce positive behaviors across various social settings.
User-friendly handouts will be provided making it easy for attendees to implement
learned skills and techniques in your normal routine once you return home!

A Series of three workshops and elegant luncheon, funded by a grant from
Pregnant Pause, creates an opportunity for mothers & daughters to have a
day together.  Learn about and discuss topics such as:  
•	Healthy Body Image in Young Women
•	Prevention of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
•	Mother-Daughter Communication: Making difficult subjects approachable. 
Everyone will receive a gift bag filled with goodies and information.  There will also
be opportunities to win door prizes donated by community partners.
Feel free to bring aunts, grandmothers, or other female role model!
 (This program is for moms and teens aged 12 to 18)
Babysitting for April 29th; May 14, 21, and 31(Housing Workshop)
may be available if requested.
