ANNUAL APPEAL 2022

Greetings, Family and Friends:

After a few incredibly trying years, we are excited to share that 2022 was a momentous year here at The Arc of Hunterdon County. We've transitioned our leadership and, after several years, have returned to hosting our annual Tricky Tray. For the first time since the pandemic, we are making significant strides in adapting to our ever-changing environment.

As we look toward this holiday season and the end of 2022, we are calling on you for support with this year’s annual appeal. By supporting the annual appeal, you can express your thanks and appreciation for the clients whom The Arc of Hunterdon County serve.

At The Arc, we are committed to placing 100% of every dollar received either directly in the hands of our clients or purchasing wanted and needed items that will enrich their lives. In short, your donations will explicitly better the lives of the people we are committed to serving every day.

Please reflect on how fortunate many of us are for the good things happening in our lives and consider sharing that fortune with the clients of The Arc of Hunterdon County. Giving is the spirit of the season. Supporting our clients will make a meaningful impact in their lives and bring the spirit of the season to their hearts.

Thank you sincerely, and best wishes for the happiest of holidays and a bright new year!

50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI) PROGRAM

This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, which was created to ensure that people with disabilities wouldn't live in poverty. I want to call your attention to bipartisan legislation that has been introduced in the U.S. Senate:  The SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act (S.4102) would increase the $2,000 asset limit that non-married SSI recipients are permitted to have. Please see the TAKE ACTION link below, which is an easy way to urge New Jersey's Senators Booker and Menendez to co-sponsor this important legislation.

Please help us in urging our U.S. Senators to co-sponsor this much-needed legislation! Click "TAKE ACTION" now!

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS DONATE $3.6K TO THE ARC OF HUNTERDON

A HUGE thank you to The NJ State Council Knights of Columbus for their incredibly generous donation of $3,600 to us here at The Arc of Hunterdon County!

The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded by blessed Michael J. McGivney on March 29, 1882.

"Charity is at the heart of our work and our faith — and it always has been. For the Knights of Columbus, charity means supporting a virtually boundless variety of projects."
